Annual Report

KIPP New Jersey is creating a network of schools in Camden and Newark where our students are prepared to succeed in college and beyond. This year we grew to ensure that opportunity is reaching over 5,700 students across our two cities. Through their hard work, the dedication of supportive families and teachers, and a deeply held, shared belief in their future, they are proving the possible.

From an Alumna:

“I cannot say enough how grateful I am that my parents chose to send me to a school that did not initially seem appealing to me. Attending KIPP TEAM Academy for middle school and KIPP Newark Collegiate Academy for high school, was one of the best investments I could have made in my future."
Julien Broomfield, Howard University, Class of 2019

To and Through College

Nationally, over 77% of students from families in the top income quartile go on to college, versus just 9% of students from families in the bottom income quartile. KIPP New Jersey is closing that gap through our rigorous K-12 academic program and our KIPP Through College support team.

3X

KIPP NJ alumni graduate from college at 3 times the rate of their low-income peers.

Help us double the number of students we send to and through college.

The Story of Us

In 2002 we opened with one 5th grade class in the West Ward of Newark, NJ and since then have grown to educate thousands. Behind that growth are the stories of the teachers, students, families, supporters and community members whose love, determination, and passion made it all possible. Here are just a few.
