WITS Program Encourages Healthier Foods in Camden Schools
CAMDEN, N.J. — Across the U.S., obesity rates in children are on the rise. More than one in three children under 18 are overweight or obese, per the American Journal of Medicine.
And in New Jersey obesity rates are increasing as well. Poor food choices and lack of exercise play a key role.
Over this past summer, I was introduced to Wellness in the Schools, a nonprofit that inspires healthy eating and fitness in schools.
