    • Payment of the $25,000 referral award shall be broken down into two phases.  The referred candidate must work for KIPP for at least 135 continuous days in order for his or her referrer to be eligible for 50% ($12,500) of the referral award.
    • Upon the referred candidate’s completion of an additional 180 continuous days of work – for a total of 315 days – the referrer shall become eligible for payment of the remaining 50% or $12,500 of the referral award.
    • The maximum amount that the referrer is eligible to receive is $25,000.
  • If there is a duplicate referral, a determination will be made by the Recruitment team as to who is eligible for the award based upon both the date that the referral was made and the effort to which the referring individual actively engaged with the referral. Ultimate discretion rests with the Recruitment team in determining eligibility.  Instances wherein there is truly more than one active referrer, the bonus can be split at the discretion of the Recruitment team.
  • KIPP only accepts referrals from this website. Any other referral (whether via email, conversation with recruiter, etc.) must be followed up with a referral submission in order to be time stamped and tracked in our applicant tracking system.  You must submit an on-line referral form in order to be eligible for a referral payment.
  • Referral payments are made twice a year in December and April. The timing of the referral payment is determined by the start date of the referral once hired.
    • Payment for referrals with a start date that is prior to or on the first day of the school year, as denoted by the academic calendar, will be disbursed in December.
    • Payment for referrals with a start date that is after the first day of school, but prior to January 1st, will be disbursed in April.
    • Payment for referrals with a start date after January 1st, but prior to the first day of the following academic year, as denoted by the academic calendar, will be disbursed in the subsequent December payout.
  • If you are eligible to participate in the Referral Program, payment will be made pursuant to a Form 1099.  You must correctly complete and return IRS Form W-9 (and any other documentation that KIPP may require) in order to receive the referral payment.  Federal, State and any local taxes on the payment are the sole responsibility of the recipient.

  • The referred candidate must work for KIPP for at least 135 continuous days in order for his or her referrer to be eligible for a referral award.
  • Referrals you submit will be considered eligible for the referral payment for up to two years after the submission date. After that, you will need to resubmit the referral in order to become eligible again.
  • Referred candidates who have applied directly to KIPP, with no acknowledgement of referral, who have had reciprocated interaction, outreach, or contact with staff members of KIPP, or who have interviewed for a position with KIPP, are not eligible for the referral reward.
