About Us
KIPPsters set a high bar for their futures. For some, that means being the first in their family to graduate from college or buy a home. For others, it means serving our country or creating a business. So KIPP schools ensure each student has the skills and confidence to pursue any path that leads to their highest aspirations. Our counselors support students to choose and prepare for a right-fit college or education path and a meaningful career.
To support our mission, each KIPP NJ High School has a KIPP Forward High School Preparation team, committed to ensuring 100% of our young people have access to postsecondary pathways and opportunities that ultimately lead them to their long-term goals.
Services include:
Students who do not attend a KIPP New Jersey high school but who graduated from one of our middle schools are also eligible for support!
Our College Success team is a dedicated and experienced group of advisors who work relentlessly to support students on their journey through college. Our services provide a unique and tailored approach for individual students because we know that no two journeys are the same. Advisors work with students on all aspects of the college experience – transitioning with them towards the end of their senior year in high school and continuing to work alongside them to build skills needed to succeed in a college setting.

Our Career Team seeks to empower current KIPP NJ high school students and alumni to launch careers that result in fulfilling lives. Our services help students and alumni explore careers that match their passion, interests and level of education. We aim to bridge the opportunity gap that exists in our communities and raise our students’ social capital while being compassionate to all needs.

KIPP has created partnerships with institutions that share our belief that with the right support, all students can reach their educational and professional goals. Partner universities commit to admitting KIPP students and providing critical resources to ensure each KIPPster remains on track to receive a college degree. We also partner with credentialing programs and companies that are interested in hiring our amazing alumni.
KIPP NJ believes closer partnerships with higher education & post-secondary credentialing institutions are key opportunities for continued progress and learning. Our ultimate goal is to identify strategies that can be implemented by institutions to help close the opportunity gap both in post-secondary educational pursuits and careers.
