Date: 2017-04-06 Names KIPP New Jersey a Winner of the Delaware Valley 2017 Top Workplaces Award

Camden, NJ (April 21, 2017) – KIPP New Jersey’s KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy in Camden has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by This is the first time that KIPP New Jersey has been awarded this honor.

“We strive to make sure all kids have access to a high-quality education,” said Drew Martin, Executive Director of KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy. “Great teachers and staff make great schools. We’ve worked hard to create an environment that not only has a positive impact on the lives of our students, but also empowers them to realize their full potential. That couldn’t be possible without the dedication and commitment that our entire team brings to work with them every day.”

The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection. More than 39,000 employees in the Philadelphia region were surveyed to establish the organizations that were selected for the final Top Workplaces list.

“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits,” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together.”
