What Makes NCA Unique?
World class facilities
NCA was built from the ground up to give our students the campus they
deserve. The science labs were designed by the teachers to accommodate their lessons; it
includes a full-court gymnasium, Mac labs, art and drama studios, and an inspiring view of the
downtown Newark skyline.
Each spring hundreds of kids take a week-long trip to visit colleges. They attend
lectures, take guided tours, and visit local museums.
KIPP Through College
We support our kids to and through college. This goes beyond simply helping students find the school that’s right for them, our advisors have arranged over 50 college visits, regularly meet students on
campus, and host alumni events.
Students enrolling at Newark Collegiate Academy from TEAM Academy and Rise Academy enter about even with their peers in the state. During their time at Newark Collegiate Academy, they focus on preparing for success at the college of their choice.
KIPP Through College
Whether our middle schoolers attend NCA or not, we help
bridge the transition from high school to college through our KIPP Through College program. KIPP Through College has a team of advisors that track our alumni and guide them from the admissions process through graduation. We check in on them regularly and remove obstacles, even if that means purchasing over 1,000 textbooks for alumni or traveling across the country to have an on-campus visit.
College Prep Classes
Students have the choice of three languages – Spanish, French, and Arabic; as well as a list of AP courses in math, science, and language. Students engage in lively debates and attend lecture-style courses.
Hands on Learning
Students don’t just learn a language, they practice it on trips to France and Spain. Between their academics, students also choose from a menu of extracurriculars and elective courses such as art, drama, and Yearbook.
Developing the whole child
Once students reach the high school level with us, the focus turns to preparing them for the freedoms and courses they’ll face in college. A long menu of clubs and activities are a fun way for students to make connections between content areas as well as strengthen relationships between peers and advisors.

Nice Words from Our Families
The teachers' involvement with my child's education doesn't stop when they get out of school.
I am very glad that I put my child in this school! He has succeeded and is now at Hampton. I am very surprised at how well they have done having recently opened the school.
Teachers are always looking forward to helping students late at night until they are sure that they are capable themselves. I would like to see our school grow since our school started on 2007. We as a community of NCA are making changes each minute of our lives.
