NLHS serves students from KIPP middle schools (TEAM, Rise, BOLD, Purpose, and Justice Academies) when they step up from 8th grade along with some new-to-KIPP students from other Newark schools. Located in the Central Ward near NJIT and Rutgers-Newark, NLHS offers a progressive, college preparatory educational experience, with a focus on project-based learning and design. AP course options will grow as the school grows, and students have the opportunity to participate in clubs and sports at either NLHS or in conjunction with KIPP NCA.
