About Us
We are thrilled that your child is about to take the next big step in their educational journey, heading to middle school! We have five KIPP Newark middle schools – KIPP TEAM Academy, KIPP Rise Academy, KIPP BOLD Academy, KIPP Purpose Academy, and KIPP Justice Academy. All of our middle schools are proud to offer rigorous academic and a variety of extracurricular activities. We can’t wait for you to meet the team at your child’s new school!
Step 1: Review your Scholar’s 5th grade Placement
Letters will be emailed to your address on file and physical letters will be in scholar’s backpacks by Wednesday, February 1st. If for any reason you have not received the information, please reach out to your child’s current school’s main office.
Step 2: Attend Middle School Welcome Event
Families should plan to attend your assigned middle school’s orientation to learn more about the school, meet staff and hear directly from the school leader. Note: all events are in-person this year.
Step 3: Complete Your Child’s Re-Registration beginning March 1st
You need to attend the Welcome Event and complete your child’s re-registration beginning March 1st.
Campus Transfer requests (placement appeals) will be considered under the following circumstances:
Due to space constraints, requests submitted for any other reason may not be approved.
