Welcome to KIPP Newark Collegiate Academy (NCA)

Located in a state-of-the-art facility on Littleton Avenue, NCA is KIPP New Jersey’s first charter high school. NCA offers a well-rounded education that combines academic rigor, extracurricular engagement, and a deep sense of community. Students can explore Honors and AP courses, participate in a Dual Enrollment Program with prestigious universities, and take advantage of a wide range of varsity athletics, clubs, and leadership opportunities to shape their unique high school journey.

Welcome to KIPP Newark Lab High School (NLHS)

NLHS is located in Newark’s Central Ward near NJIT and Rutgers-Newark, is KIPP Newark’s second high school, serving students in grades 9-12. Opened in 2019, NLHS provides a progressive, college-preparatory education. With a strong foundation in integrity, academic excellence, and productive citizenship, NLHS fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to thrive academically and personally.

Current KIPP Families

Current KIPP 8th graders and families will receive the “Intent to Enroll” form on January 13, 2025. This form confirms your enrollment and allows you to share your high school campus preference. This form is due by Friday, January 31, 2025. High school placements will be shared in early March. All family preferences will be taken into account, but exact campus cannot be guaranteed.

Whether it’s honing the writing skills that help them critically examine complex texts, or learning about managing personal finance in a Financial Literacy elective, every student is encouraged to forge real-life connections with classroom learning. Sports & Extracurriculars

Athletics are a key part of our school culture and community. Our 20+ teams, ranging from basketball and soccer to track and cheer, compete at high levels while teaching teamwork, resilience, and leadership. Our student-athlete motto is ‘Character First,’ because academic and athletic integrity are core values in our community. NCA Varsity Boys Basketball team dominated last season, clinching the Colonial Division title and coming one shot away from the Super Essex Conference championship.

Whether you’re on the field or cheering from the sidelines, there’s a place for everyone to show Panther and Shark pride, push their limits, and celebrate together.

We also offer a variety of extracurricular clubs, including art club, book club, the Black Student Union, and Marching Panthers — a marching band that performs at local and national events.
