Around the country COVID-19, has disproportionally impacted the Black and LatinX communities. KIPP New Jersey is taking every precaution to keep our families and staff safe, and to prevent additional loss of lives and trauma in our cities.1 We continue to support our families by providing meals and groceries, 1:1 technology and hotspots. We have launched an Evening Learning Program and an online Mental Health Wellness Center to ensure we are meeting all the needs of all of our kids. This support extends to our KIPP alumni as well. College classes being offered virtually can provide substantial challenges towards college completion. Our KIPP Through College team has been working hard to support our alumni while they navigate these additional obstacles.
Partner support has been integral in providing the resources and supports our families and students need. Please consider donating to KIPPNJ to allow us to continue to provide a world class education, as well as the wrap around services our students and alumni need to stay focused on their education. KIPPNJ is consistently marked #1 or #2 as the choice of families when they enroll in a public school, and KIPPNJ is the top high school in Newark when it comes to African American students matriculating to four-year college. We know that this is an unprecedented time for all, and we are grateful for your commitment to our students, families and the continuity of our mission.
